The Covenant School Application Process

Welcome to The Covenant School and thank you for your interest! If you have not already done so, please submit an inquiry here. Below you will find all of the steps needed to complete our application process.

The Covenant School is an intentionally small school where mission alignment, relationships, and a commitment to authentic Christian education are prioritized. Admission is selective and holistic. Applicants and their families are evaluated for “fit” in various ways, including academic readiness, commitment to faith, and cultural impact. We are committed to educating and discipling children of families where at least one parent is a professing Christian. TCS's mission is to assist Christian parents and the Church by providing an exceptional academic experience founded upon and informed by the Word of God.

Create and Submit an Online Application

To begin the Online Application process, select "Create an Account" from the menu above. Then, log into your account and "Create A New Student Application" for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application. A non-refundable fee of $50 must be submitted with each application.

Please note that preference is given to applications submitted by the December 31 priority consideration deadline. Supporting documents, student assessment, and the parent interview need not be completed by this deadline to be given priority consideration. Applications are accepted throughout the year and students are considered where space permits. If a program or grade is full, your submitted application serves as your student's placeholder in our waiting pool. Should a space become available to admit additional applicants, you will be contacted with instructions for completing the next steps in our admissions process.

Submit Supporting Documents

Once an application has been submitted, you will receive a blank Teacher Recommendation form and a Request for School Records form. Please have your student's current teacher complete the Teacher Recommendation form. The Request for School Records form can be submitted to your student's current school's registrar or administrative office.

Documents may be submitted to Covenant in the following ways:

Mail:

The Covenant School
Attn: Admissions

Once an application and supporting documents have been submitted, your student's file will be reviewed by our admissions committee. Applicants progressing to the next steps in our process will be contacted to schedule the following:

Student Assessment

-PreSchool and PreK applicants participate in a developmental readiness observation.
-Kindergarten applicants are given a developmental readiness assessment.
-1st-6th grade applicants are given an academic assessment. ISEE scores may be submitted in lieu of our assessment.

Parent Interview

The final step of our admissions process is a 30-minute parent interview with our Head of School. The interview will be in the format of a virtual Zoom conference.

Admission priorities are given to active members of Covenant Presbyterian Church, siblings of current students, and applicants that will continue through sixth grade at The Covenant School.

We appreciate your interest and hope to assist you any way we can. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

The Covenant School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. So that the home, school, and church might provide unity in a fundamental worldview, at least one of the student’s parents or guardians must demonstrate a credible profession of faith in Christ, a belief in the Holy Scripture, and a life characterized by love and obedience to the Word of God. An application for admission or a request for re-enrollment requires that the family's lifestyle is consistent with the standards and positions of the Presbyterian Church of America.
